A 1x40HQ container of bench legs and decorative columns shipped to Israel on June 8, 2026. Cargo now in transit with packing and routing details covered.
The factory sealed a 1x40HQ container over the weekend, and as of June 8, 2026, it is officially on the water heading to Ashdod, Israel. The cargo consists of turned bench legs and decorative columns, combined in a single consolidated shipment for a distributor who has been sourcing both product lines from our factory for municipal supply contracts.
The bench legs are solid hardwood, turned to a standard tapered profile with a 45mm top tenon diameter and a 60mm base. Each leg measures 420mm in length, finished smooth and packed in export cartons of eight pieces. The cartons themselves are double-wall corrugated with internal dividers to prevent surface friction during transit. Total carton count for the bench legs portion of this load came to 320 cartons, stacked across the first two pallet rows at the container floor.
The decorative columns range from 1800mm to 2400mm, fluted and plain designs mixed per the distributor’s order sheet. These were wrapped individually in polyethylene foam, then bundled in fives with edge protectors and horizontal strapping. Because of the length discrepancy between the bench leg cartons and the column bundles, the loading sequence required the bench legs to occupy the base layer entirely, with columns loaded above and braced against the container walls at one-meter intervals.
ISPM 15 compliance applies to every piece of solid wood packing material in this container. The pallets, the bracing bars, and the dunnage all carry heat treatment stamps. The phytosanitary certificate cleared three business days before the vessel cut-off, and the fumigation paperwork matches the container seal number recorded at the loading dock.
The routing sends this container through a feeder service to Piraeus, then transshipment onto a mainline vessel bound for Ashdod. The distributor’s customs broker has received the bill of lading, the packing list with HS codes split by product category, and the fumigation certificate. Estimated transit time sits at eighteen days port to port.
The bench legs in this shipment are destined for a municipal park furniture project. The factory turned the order in four weeks from deposit confirmation to ready-for-loading status. The next order cycle for this distributor is under discussion for late August, likely a full container of columns depending on the contract renewal outcome.
